There have been changes to Public Forum

Public Forum is a 10 minute period prior to the meeting commencing. If you wish to raise a matter with the Council, the Chair will discuss your points/questions with you beforehand to ensure that they are appropriate for public forum. You may then be invited by the Chair to speak, or the Chair may direct you to a more appropriate avenue to bring the matter to the attention of the PC. This could be by email or telephone call to Clerk.
Members of the public may not take part in the Parish Council meeting itself unless the Council resolves at the meeting to accept comments on a particular item.
Any points raised may be discussed at the next Parish Council Meeting not during public forum. This is to allow councillors and the public time to consider the matter fully.

Of interest to residents is an application within the Parish of Wickhamford, but close to Badsey (W/25/00406/FUL) at Lisbon Nurseries Willersey Road Badsey WR11 7HD, Proposed demolition of existing commercial and horticultural buildings and erection of 23 permanent residential homes (for older people over 55 years), 1no. managers accommodation home, community meeting room and associated works.
This proposal is in addition to the already approved siting of 21no. mobile holiday accommodation units (W/23/01566/FUL).

12.12.2024 New version of National Planning Policy Framework released
For information, the Government have released an updated version of the NPPF today – this is the one which they consulted on over the summer. Going forward, this is the version of national policy which WDC will use when making decisions about planning applications. Importantly, it also states the new increased housing numbers for the district based on the amended methodology.

Residents who attended a recent meeting organised by Metacre Ltd at the Recreation Club to give information about an intended application for a site to the north of Brewers Lane will be interested to note that a Planning Application has now been made to Wychavon District Council.
The Parish Council’s Planning Committee will meet to discuss our response, and we would encourage all residents to visit the Wychavon Planning page via the link below to consider their own response to this proposed major development in Badsey.

2.9.2023 Planning News
Planning Application W/23/00936/OUT
A very large number of our residents (there are 240 on the Wychavon site) commented on the Planning Application for the development of up to 90 houses south of the Bretforton Road with access at the junction of Bretforton Road and Birmingham Road close to the Round of Gras. Most of these comments objected to the proposal, as did the Parish Council. We felt it right to draw residents’ attention to a new document under “Application Documents” dated 01/09/2023. This is a Transport Assessment Addendum which seeks to disagree with Worcestershire Highways recommendation for REFUSAL of the application.
