Of interest particularly to residents of Blackminster and the Birmingham Road area is application W/26/00767/FUL at Land At (os 0705 4405), Birmingham Road, Badsey, WR11 7TW for Change of Use of Land to Gypsy Traveller Site and associated works including hardstanding (retrospective)

This is the site which has caused much discussion and activity on social media in recent days.  The link below goes to the application on the Wychavon District Council website.

4.12. 2025 Planning news

At the Planning Meeting held on Tuesday 2nd December to discuss application W/25/02493/OUT concerning 32 Badsey Fields Lane, Badsey, Evesham, WR11 7EX, the Council advised that it would publish its comments on the application for the information of residents.  These can be viewed by clicking the button below.

We were pleased to see so many residents with such constructive comments at our meeting.  As we emphasised then, residents should note that the Parish Council’s view counts for no more than any other.  They should make their own views clear via the Wychavon planning website.  A link to the website is provided below.

W/25/02142/OUT

Land At (Os 0546 4460) Offenham Road Aldington.  (This open farmland is bounded by the A46 to the NW, the railway to the N and the Offenham Road to the SE)

Residents, especially of Aldington and The Orchards, will be interested in an outline planning application for a Residential development of up to 40 dwellings, associated infrastructure and landscaping, with vehicular access from Offenham Road.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH NOTICE

Please be aware that the way in which Residents receive West Mercia Police Neighbourhood Alerts is changing.  Notices relating to alerts in the Aldington and Badsey area can be sent straight into your Inbox by subscribing to “Neighbourhood Matters”.  You’re invited to sign up and become a registered recipient of messages of information, crime alerts or witness appeals local to the area in which you live or work by email, text or telephone. Don’t worry, you won’t be bombarded with every incident as you can choose exactly the type of alert you wish to receive.  To access their website simply enter https://www.neighbourhoodmatters.co.uk/

Meanwhile, for your information, the West Mercia Police Van will be visiting Badsey, outside the Spar shop on Sunday 2nd November – 1pm and Aldington Main Street, opposite the Phone Box on Friday 14th November – 1pm   This provides an opportunity for you to meet your local Officers and discuss any concerns you may have.  The Police regularly visit Aldington and Badsey in this way and via Neighbourhood Matters, you will regularly be updated with forthcoming dates.
